Breaking Android Episode 009

BreakingModern – Welcome to the latest episode of Breaking Android. I’m your host, Mat Lee. This week in Android news I’m covering Google’s expansion of Knowledge Graph, the Patalite Flux phone charger and Bullitt Group’s new Caterpillar Android handsets. Check out the show below and scroll below the fold to read show notes.

Breaking Android Broken Down

Google Song Lyrics

Android Authority is reporting that Google is expanding its Knowledge Graph to include song lyrics. Some say this move, like others Google has executed in the past, will hurt sites that currently offer song lyric services. Most of those sites make their money displaying ads, but if Google is showing the lyrics on its search results, most people won’t need to click through to the actual site.

Portable Phone Chargers

Next up, there’s a ton of portable phone chargers on the market. Android Community took a look at the Petalite Flux. Its selling point is that it can charge your device in just 15 minutes. Check out the Petalite Flux campaign here on Indiegogo.

Rugged Android Devices

Android and Me reports that Kodak and the Bullitt Group are going to debut a new set of Android devices at CES. If you don’t know, The Bullitt Group is known for making rugged Android handsets under the Caterpillar name.
