What You’ll Need:

  • HTC Sync Manager (free download)
  • HTC One M8
  • Windows PC

Import iTunes to HTC One M8 from Windows

To start things off, you’ll need to download HTC Sync Manager and install it on your Windows computer. It’s a free program provided by HTC and it allows you to transfer music, photos, videos and other files from your PC to the phone.

It’s also worth mentioning that HTC Sync Manager works for other models too. You can also use the HTC Sync Manager as your desktop media player.

Once it’s installed, go ahead and launch it. Plug in your HTC One M8 to your computer via the included micro USB cable and wait for the manager to recognize it.

There is no reason to worry about which folders your iTunes or Windows Media Player files are located on your system. HTC Sync Manager will simply scan all folders on your computer for the type of media it contains.

When you want to add a song or album to the phone, right click the small phone icon under the band or artist’s album art. Then the songs or albums you select will be copied over to your phone and the phone icon will turn blue to indicate it’s on your phone. If you want to remove a song or other files, click the blue cell phone icon.

If you like to keep all of your music arranged by playlists, right-click the album art and select Copy to Phone New Playlist.

If you want to manually copy your music from a PC to the HTC One M8, plug in your phone and browse to the Music folder typically located in: This PC/831C/Internal storage/mobile/music in Windows 8.1.

The HTC Sync Manager makes it easy to transfer your music, photos, videos, documents and other files from your Windows system to your phone. You can use it to sync your contacts, calendar and bookmarks too.
