BMod Sports: Masters Golf Tournament Best Ever Moments

BreakingModern — Golf is cool again. It feels like a whole new game, but it’s awesome to learn from the masters. And there’s no better time to start than now, when the historic Masters Golf Tournament 2015 is about to swing into spring at the Augusta National Golf Course.

The Masters Golf Tournament 2015, which kicks off April 6, holds an unbelievable tradition. Get up to speed on the Masters Golf Tournament 2015 with this tour of its most-magical moments, Tiger Woods and all.

Tiger’s first of four green jackets came in 1997 in what was called a win for the ages — he won by an incredible 12 strokes. His fourth win at Augusta came eight years later when his chip-in on the 16th provided the type of drama that only Tiger can do, as you can see above.

Also in my video, check out the chip-in that even tops that one: It’s Larry Mize on the second hole of sudden death against Greg Norman in 1987. From 140 feet away Mize pulled off the unimaginable. The Augusta native warmed the hearts of the locals and broke the heart of Greg Norman, who came so close so many times at the Masters.

And who could forget a couple of lefties scrambling out of the woods to earn green jackets? Phil Mickelson in 2010 hits this ridiculous second shot on the par 5, 13th. It goes next to the tree, off the pine straw, over the creek and lands within five feet of the hole. And yes, Phil went on to win the tournament and his third green jacket.

Two years later in 2012 a guy named Bubba looked like he lost his chance to win when he hit his drive into the woods on the second hole of sudden death. But Watson manages to hit this incredible hook that sets him up to make the putt and win the Masters over Louis Oosthuizen.

You can’t stroll down Masters memory lane without talking about the Golden Bear. In 1986 Jack Nicklaus at the age of 46 won his record sixth Masters. In classic Jack fashion he put on a back nine charge to make up four strokes to win and provide some of the loudest roars ever from the Masters patrons.
