Sprig Brings Healthy Food Delivery to Chicago

BreakingModern — If you live in San Francisco, Palo Alto or Chicago, and you’re tired of foraging for healthy meals, Sprig offers a delivery service just for you.

Founded in San Francisco two years ago by tech entrepreneurs, Gagan Biyani, Matt Kent and Neeraj Berry, Sprig offers a new and simple way of finding organic foods at your convenience.

Hungry customers can order brunch, lunch or dinner and expect food to show up at their doorstep within 20 minutes. Prices for meals range from $9 to $13 (plus delivery fee).

According to Fortune magazine, Sprig has raised a total of $57 million since launching in 2013. And $45 million of that total was raised during the first half of this year. In addition, the service has delivered 500,000 meals in the past 18 months.

Recently, Sprig expanded its services down the Peninsula to Palo Alto. And now the company is doing business in Chicago. Currently Chicagoans can choose meals weekdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. (lunch options will be available later this summer). Sprig has plans to expand to other cities in the near future.

“Chicago offers a vibrant food scene and thriving tech industry, but people on the go are underserved by the types of healthy options available,” said founder Biyani. “We’re excited to provide a solution through Sprig — healthy, delicious and clean meals created by an incredible group of chef masterminds that are both convenient and affordable.”

Sprig is free to download for Android on Google Play and Apple iOS.
