The Votes Are In: Your Lazy Dog Photos Here!

BreakingModern — The BMod team announced another Instagram #breakography photography challenge a few weeks ago, asking followers to share their version of “Lazy Dog Days.” Any type of camera was allowed — and any type of dog. The results came in and … boy, those dogs were lazy! We received some great entries and, after much debate, our staff voted on the favorite submission. Below, please welcome Rocky to BreakingModern. This cute pup is with us courtesy of Mary Klaustemeir.

Rocky, the Laziest Dog We Could Find

This adorable photograph was captured with a Samsung Galaxy S3. Yes, an S3! The only touch-up applied was a simple built-in filter through Instagram. I love how this photo has a soft, warm feeling to it. The colors are well done. The lighting is great. The “Lazy Dog Days” theme is clearly depicted, too, which is the whole point! I mean, Rocky’s tongue is sticking out of his mouth. How great is that?

Klaustemeir said of the photo,

The funny thing is, this is one of the least current phones I’ve had in quite a while. I used to get the latest and greatest [smartphone], but decided that I needed to have other priorities for a while so I went with a low-cost carrier and paid outright for the phone. I’ve been extremely happy with the camera.”

Well, Mary, this legacy phone of yours clearly did the job. Rocky is definitely in the spotlight.

Thank you to everyone that participated in the “Lazy Dog Days” challenge — it was a lot of fun looking at the different submissions. Be sure to check out more great photographs shared on the BreakingModern Instagram page. Feel free to tag us in your favorite Instagram posts. We just may re-share it with our followers. Stay tuned for the next #breakography photo challenge.
