BreakingModern — Pictures of city skylines are beautiful. But who knew they looked so good when taken with a smartphone, let alone from inside a car? Bradford Ciecko grabbed this winter wonderland shot of Detroit, and it’s our photo of the day.
Ciecko snapped this with an HTC One M7, and the clarity through the windshield is pretty stunning. Even the water smudge up top has an artsy feel to it. It also captures what I imagine Detroit to look like: A bold, cold city with some grit. Even though it’s daytime, the image is dark and foreboding, which speaks to the harsh climate of the city.
We’re not the only ones who are impressed with Ciecko’s photo — he let us know that a client ordered a 12″ x 12″ print of this image. He didn’t even lose quality on the print due to the high resolution of the One M7. Impressive.
